Description:
The partial-hand amputee population has historically been underserved in the prosthetic world, both due to a limitation in technology available and opportunities for care. In this course we will provide everything a prosthetist needs in order to feel confident in working with patients with an amputation at the digit level. You will learn about the product anatomy, function, and the impacts of our engineering on the end-user for each of our three body-driven products. We will prepare you for how to identify optimal candidates for each of these devices and how to work with our Customer Care and Clinical Teams to deliver strong patient outcomes even with challenging presentations. Dana graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical engineering. She worked in medical research for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation: Lerner Research Institute before pursuing graduate education in prosthetics and orthotics. Dana earned her Master of Science at the University of Pittsburgh.  She practiced clinically in Southern California before transitioning into clinic
